SUMEDANG - The Sumedang Resort Police has opened a homecoming route for Sections 2 and 3 of the Cisumdawu Toll Road or from the Cileunyi Toll Road to Cimalaka, Sumedang Regency, West Java which is specifically used by homecoming vehicles during the day. While at night it is not recommended because of the lack of lighting.

"At night (it is closed) because there are no lights," said Head of Public Relations of the Sumedang Police, AKP Dedi Juhana, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 30.

He said that the Cisumdawu toll road had been officially opened for homecoming vehicles to pass only from the Cileunyi toll gate, Bandung Regency to Pamulihan Toll Road, Sumedang Regency or section 1.

As for sections 2 and 3 toll roads, he said, they are currently still in the completion stage, but during this year's Lebaran homecoming season, it is opened for vehicles to pass on condition that it is only during the day and in conditions of no rain.

"The Cisumdawu Section 3 toll road is only opened in one direction, namely from Bandung to Cimalaka, and its use is only opened during the day with no rainy weather conditions, if it rains at night or it rains, this toll segment will be closed again," said AKP Dedi.

Motorists who use the Cisumdawu Toll Road to the destination of Cimalaka will only be charged an exit fare for the Pamulihan Toll Road.

"Homecomers from Bandung can exit directly at the Cimalaka toll gate with a count of Pamulihan toll payments," added AKP Dedi.

The police appealed to motorists who wish to use the Cisumdawu toll road to always be vigilant and careful to avoid things that are not desirable, because on this road there are still minimal facilities such as street lighting and unstable ground conditions.

A number of police and other joint officers have been alerted to secure and regulate the flow of vehicular traffic inside and outside toll gates and main roads that travelers pass through.
