Because Of The Backbone Of The Family And Having A Toddler, The Kapolsek Sawah Besar Apologizes To The PPSU Officer Who Made A False Report Being Robbed

JAKARTA - Ray Prama Abdullah (28), an officer for handling public infrastructure and facilities (PPSU) of Mangga Dua Selatan Village, finally breathed a sigh of relief. He was freed from the prison sentence of 1 year and 4 months.

Ray should be grateful for the goodwill of the Sawah Besar Police Chief Kompol Maulana Mukarom. Even though Ray had made a false report and made the public and the police noisy, Ray received forgiveness from the investigator team who put humanity first.

"The things that we value have a human side," Kompol Maulana told VOI, Friday, April 29.

Ray should have been charged with Article 220 of the Criminal Code for notifying or complaining that a criminal act had been committed, even though he knew that it had not been done.

Ray has also made a police report with the number 25/K/IV/2022/PMJ/Restro JP/Sek SB, dated April 27, 2022 for the case of theft of THR money which turned out to be a hoax.

Kompol Maulana Mukarom said investigators assessed that the case could be pursued through other channels outside of criminal law, by adhering to the ultimum remedium principle which is one of the principles contained in Indonesian criminal law.

Investigators did not take legal action with the consideration that the person concerned was the backbone of the family.

"The person concerned has a toddler who still needs the role of a father and he admits he is guilty of his actions and will not do it again," he said.

Kompol Maulana appealed, the current social media phenomenon has a very large impact on social conditions in society. So that people are asked to be wiser in uploading anything to social media.

"(Currently) what is posted is considered true. We must be wiser in using social media which turns out to be untrue. The person concerned does not know the effect in the future, the case is viral and becomes another assumption," he said.

Previously reported, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sawah Besar Police confirmed that an officer for handling public infrastructure and facilities (PPSU) of Mangga Dua Selatan sub-district named Ray Prama Abdullah (28) made a false statement related to the theft of holiday allowance (THR) worth Rp. 4.4 million.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Sawah Besar Police, AKP Wildan, said that from the results of the police investigation there were no signs of an incident at the crime scene (TKP).

"We are processing the crime scene, looking for witnesses, checking CCTV, there is no such incident," said AKP Wildan to VOI, Thursday, April 28, evening.

According to AKP Wildan, the PPSU also admitted that he made the (false) report because he was forced to cover up his fears.

"Actually he ran out of money because of gambling. He was afraid of his wife. Even though his money was used up for online gambling playing slots (gambling)," said AKP Wildan.
