DKI Prepares 20 Thousand Capacity For Congregational Eid Prayers At JIS

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has prepared around 20 thousand capacities to accommodate the congregation to perform the Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri Prayer at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) North Jakarta.

"Earlier, eight thousand was the maximum, but it turns out that the enthusiasm of the community exceeds that number," said the Head of the Mental Spiritual Division of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's Mental Spiritual and Educational Bureau (Dikmental) Aceng Zaini in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Friday, April 29.

With the increase in the prepared capacity, the committee expanded the prayer location from initially only on the west side, then increased to the north and south side of the semi-circle.

He explained that the additional capacity is estimated for male congregations to reach around 12 thousand people and maximum female congregations to 10 thousand people.

Meanwhile, the east side failed to do so because the location was quite far away from JIS.

"At first it was to the east, but it's too bad it's too far, because the area is 23 hectares, in the end it's limited," said Aceng.

The plan is that preparations for Eid prayers at JIS will begin at 06.00 WIB.

He appealed to the congregation to bring personal prayer equipment, bring environmentally friendly bags to store sandals or shoes.

In addition, Aceng appealed to the congregation not to bring newspapers because they can become trash after prayers and to continue to wear masks and apply health protocols during the activity.

Congregants are also advised to keep a distance so as not to be too close between one congregation and another.

He appealed to the congregation to use public transportation or online-based transportation to anticipate limited parking spaces.

For parking space prepared under the stadium which is estimated to accommodate about 1,900 four-wheeled vehicles.

Meanwhile, the two-wheelers, he said, were directed at the Sunter Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) building opposite JIS with a capacity of around 1,000 units.

However, there are additional parking spaces outside the stadium and additional parking locations in zone two.

The parking pockets are at RSPI Soelianti Saroso, University August 17, 1945, Graha YKI, D'Arcici, and Ruko Sunter Nirwana to JIS.

His party provided seven large TransJakarta buses with a capacity of 60 people per bus to mobilize congregations from the North Jakarta Mayor's Office to JIS and vice versa.

Then, five medium-sized school buses with a capacity of 30 people per bus serve as shuttle buses from the parking lot.

In addition, there are also village and sub-district operational cars for congregational mobilization which are coordinated by each sub-district or sub-district.

Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), Regional Public Company for Water Drinking Jaya (PAM JAYA) deployed six fleets of water tanks to prepare for Eid prayers at JIS).

"The total capacity of 24,000 liters is placed at several points in the JIS area for the ablution needs of the congregation," said PAM JAYA Service Director Syahrul when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday.
