JAKARTA - A house burned down on Jalan M Kahfi, Cipedak, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The fire is thought to have started from an electrical short in the room. "That's right, one house burned down. (The cause of the fire) is suspected to be an electrical short coming from the room," Herbert said when confirmed, Thursday, April 28. Herbert explained that the incident began when the owner of the house, Sulisman (54) saw the fire from the front room. When he tried to put out the fire, it only grew bigger. “So Sulisman saw the fire from inside the front room and it had grown. Then tried to put out the fire, but the fire was getting bigger," he said. After it grew, the residents helped put out the fire and contacted the South Jakarta damkar.

A total of 11 firefighters were dispatched to extinguish the fire. “At 15.19 WIB, we leave. Then at 15.30 WIB cooling down. At 16:10 WIB, it was declared finished," he explained. On that occasion, Herbert ensured that there were no casualties in the incident. However, the loss was estimated at IDR 700 million. "There were no fatalities. (However) the loss is estimated at Rp 700 million," he said.
