COVID-19 Update As Of April 28: 412 New Cases, 8,365 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 118,266 specimens were examined with the result that there were 412 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,046,072 people and active cases have fallen by 777 to 8,365 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, April 28.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,171 people, bringing the total to 5,881,490 recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 18 cases and the total was 156,217 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 113 cases and a total of 1,247,457 cases. Followed by West Java with 72 new cases and a total of 1,105,281 cases. Central Java with 41 new cases and a total of 627,024 cases. Banten with 41 new cases and a total of 292,291 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 437 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 237 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 163 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 59 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 95,397,890.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.70 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 3,289 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 199,191,893 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 164,657,310 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 37,458,813. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
