Backflow 2022: Police Implement Sterilization 2 Hours Before Odd-Even And One Way At GT Cikampek

AKARTA - The National Police will carry out sterilization two hours before the implementation of the odd-even and one-way scheme at the Cikampek Toll Gate (GT) to Kali Kangkung GT. This sterilization is to ensure that no vehicles pass from the opposite direction.

"So the meaning of these 2 hours is sterilization to clean or inform the public that the path will be used for the opposing route (direction)," said Head of the Ketupat Jaya Operations Command Kombes Purwadi to reporters, Thursday, April 28.

This means that when the odd-even and one-way implementation from Jakarta to the east, vehicles from the opposite direction are no longer allowed to pass.

Drivers who have not entered the toll road section will be directed through the arterial route. Meanwhile, those already on the toll road will be asked to leave the toll road.

"So 2 hours earlier, sterilization was carried out from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m. that we make sure there are no more vehicles from the direction of Central Java to Jakarta," said Purwadi.

Meanwhile, Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, for the odd-even scheme, vehicles that pass from Jakarta to the east or Central Java and surrounding areas must be according to the time allotted. If they do not match, travelers will be asked to leave the toll road.

"This means that all odd plates will start at 17.00 with the aim to the east starting from KM47. Later, we urge you to use non-toll roads and then for opposite road users," said Ramadhan.

On the other hand, officers will divert vehicles to arterial roads.

"It will be diverted to use the arterial route because odd-even and one-way traffic engineering is applied according to the discretion of the police," he said.
