JAKARTA - The National Police has corrected the identity of the Poso East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) terrorist who was shot dead. Based on the autopsy results, his identity was in the name of Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata.

"A firm and measured action has been taken against one of the MIT Poso terrorist DPOs which resulted in the death of one MIT terrorist DPO on behalf of Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramdhan to reporters, Thursday, April 28.

The identity of the fugitive was corrected after the National Police stated that the person shot was Askar alias Jaid alias Pak Guru.

Ramadhan also mentioned the decisive action taken by the Madago Raya Task Force because Suhardin fought back. He threw an object suspected of being a bomb at officers.

"The person when warned to surrender from responding with resistance threw a striped body vest that was suspected to be a bomb," said Ramadhan.

Previously, the Madago Raya Operations Task Force shot dead the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) Terrorist Wanted List (DPO) in Poso, Central Sulawesi, Wednesday 27 April.

The gunfight took place in the hamlet of Sa Lubanga, Sausu District, Parigi Moutong Regency. From the incident, it was reported that one of the DPOs suspected of being Askar alias Pak Guru was shot dead.

It is suspected that there are two remaining DPO MIT Poso people, namely Nae alias Galuh alias Muklas and Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata. The two Poso MIT DPOs are suspected to be still wandering in the mountains of Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi Regencies.
