Juanda Airport Predicts Peak Homecoming Will Happen On April 30

SIDOARJO - Juanda International Airport Surabaya officers in Sidoarjo, East Java predict that the peak flow of passengers using air transportation services will be on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Stakeholder Relations Manager Angkasa Pura I Juanda Yuristo said the peak of the homecoming flow on H minus 2 is expected to have a movement of 37,000 passengers.

"And the second peak in the return flow will occur on Saturday (7/5) with a total of 39 thousand passengers," he said as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 27.

When compared to normal days in 2022, the average passenger per day is 22 thousand. "So if the peak of homecoming and return flows occurs according to predictions, then traffic will grow by 70 percent on that day," he said.

Mentioned related to the return of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI), his party could not do more detailed data collection.

"Because now it is open to the public for anyone who will enter from abroad," he said, explaining that the condition was different from last year, which showed arrivals from abroad, specifically for Indonesian migrant workers.

"However, Indonesian citizens who return from abroad on average come from Malaysia, Singapore and also Brunei Darussalam," he added.

Passengers who have just returned from abroad, as long as they can show the results of the third vaccine, are allowed to go home immediately. "As for passengers who have not been able to show the results of the vaccine, they are required to show the results of the PCR test. And then if they still cannot show the results, a PCR test will be carried out at the destination airport," he said.
