Lebaran Homecoming Flow At Kualanamu Airport Reaches 13,446 People On D-6 Lebaran

MEDAN - The Lebaran 2022 homecoming activity at Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra on D-6 Eid 1443 H or Tuesday (26/4) was recorded as reaching 13,446 people.

Manager of Branch Communication & Legal of PT Angkasa Pura II Kualanamu Chandra Gumilar, said the number of 13,446 passengers traveling for Eid homecoming included 13,446 arrivals and 5,307 departures.

During this period, there were 126 flights, namely 62 arrivals and 64 departures.

"Meanwhile, the total cargo is 174,706 kilograms (117,669 kilograms arriving and 57,037 kilograms departing)," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 27.

Chandra said the top five airlines based on the number of flights were Lion Air (21 percent), Wings Air (19 percent), Batik Air (14 percent), Citilink (14 percent), Super Jet (13 percent) and others (19 percent). ).

He added that there were eight cargo flights, two Carter flights and two police flights crossing Kualanamu Airport.

Previously, the North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak checked the readiness of the Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang Regency in facing the 2022 Eid homecoming.

"This check is carried out as part of our readiness to serve the community, given the predicted increase this weekend," said Panca.

Panca said the increase in the number of passengers, both arriving and leaving Kualanamu Airport, was after the easing of activities following the improvement in handling the pandemic.

A total of 10,376 North Sumatran Police personnel were deployed to carry out security for Lebaran homecoming in the context of the 2022 Ketupat Toba Operation which began April 28 to May 9.
