JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force reported that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases had increased to 1,178 people on Wednesday, April 27. Thus, the total number of recovered cases to date has increased to 5,880,319 people.

The addition of the most recovered cases of COVID-19 was in Central Java with 493 people, followed by West Java with 197 people, DKI Jakarta with 142 people, and North Sumatra with 85 people.

Meanwhile, the daily positive cases of COVID-19 in the country increased by 617 people. After being calculated, the total has reached 6,045,660 people so far.

Central Java contributed the most positive cases of COVID-19, which was 207 people. Then, followed by DKI Jakarta 130 people, West Java 75 people, Banten 42 people, and East Java 32 people.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 has increased by 36 nationally, bringing the total to date to 156,199.

The most additional death cases came from Central Java with 12 people, followed by West Java 7 people, and East Java 4 people.

Thus, active cases in Indonesia have decreased by 597 people, bringing the total up to now to 9,142 people.

The task force recorded that 3,382 people were suspected of being COVID-19, and 123,804 specimens had been examined as of today.

The Task Force appealed to the public to always apply health protocols, which include wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds and reducing mobility.
