Homecoming Flow 2022: Cikampek Toll Traffic Flow Is Busy This Afternoon, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Flyover Has Been Opened Again

JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the condition of traffic flow on several toll roads until this afternoon was still normal. However, there has been an increase in the number of passing vehicles.

"There hasn't been (there's been a traffic jam, ed), there's only been congestion but there hasn't been a traffic jam," said the Head of Sub-Directorate and PJR Ditgakkum of the National Police's Korlantas Kombes Juni to VOI, Wednesday, April 27.

Based on the command center's monitoring, said Juni, the increase occurred in almost all toll roads. This includes the Jakarta-Cikampek and Jakarta-Merak toll roads.

"It is observed that the PJR command center is normal. There is only an increase that leads to the east, which leads to an increase in peacocks," he said.

Overcrowding had occurred at KM 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, specifically the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed flyover. Currently, the condition is normal after the elevated toll road is re-opened.

"Current conditions have been smooth, then since this afternoon it has been reopened," said Juni.

Meanwhile, the Director of Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the Elevated Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed toll road was reopened at around 09.30 WIB.

"It's only closed for an hour, now conditions are normal," said Sambodo.
