Before Lebaran, Pontianak City Government Targets BLT Distribution In 6 Sub-Districts Of Completed

PONTIANAK - The Pontianak City Government, West Kalimantan, is targeting the distribution of direct cash assistance (BLT) for people who are entitled to receive it before Lebaran this year.

"So far, around 96 percent of social assistance, such as BLT, Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) and the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pontianak City have been distributed," said Pontianak Mayor Edi Rusdi Kamtono in Pontianak, Antara, Wednesday. , 27 April.

The distribution of this aid targets six sub-districts in Pontianak City. Edi hopes that through this assistance, people who are classified as underprivileged can also enjoy the atmosphere of Lebaran while at the same time being able to move the economy of Pontianak City residents.

"Hopefully it can ease the burden on the community and help grow MSMEs, because there is a large amount of money circulating right now," he said.

Meanwhile, the Executive General Manager of PT Pos Indonesia for the West Kalimantan Region, Nonok Triyono, explained that there are four regions that are included in the Pontianak area, namely Mempawah Regency, Kubu Raya, Landak, and Pontianak City. In an effort to distribute the aid, his party cooperates with the smallest community in each village.

Nonok said that the distribution of this aid had been carried out for ten days and was targeted to be completed on April 28, 2022. Even though it was during the fasting month, there were no obstacles during the distribution process. Especially in Pontianak City, the distribution center for aid is carried out at each sub-district office and can be through the nearest Post Office.

"The team that went to the field was also assisted by village officials, city governments to the provincial government, as well as the TNI and the local police," he said.
