JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo visited the Formula E circuit in the Ancol area, North Jakarta today. During the review, Jokowi was accompanied by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

While looking at the condition of the circuit, Jokowi seemed to be conversing with Anies in the front row. Meanwhile, Jokowi's entourage, the DKI Provincial Government, and the Formula E executive committee followed behind him. Anies also briefly drove Jokowi to get around the circuit using a golf cart.

In Ancol, Jokowi wore his trademark clothes, namely a white shirt and black pants. Meanwhile, Anies wore the DKI Provincial Government uniform and vest.

After the review, Jokowi admitted that he was just reviewing the preparations for Formula E which will be held on June 4, 2022.

"I want to see what Formula E preparation looks like on the field. The race track is ready, then the only thing being chased is the paddock and grandstand. There is still time to run out of Eid and we hope that in early June we can see the race," Jokowi said at the location, Monday, April 25.

Meanwhile, Anies said that currently the asphalting of the track has been completed. Then, currently the organizers are installing paddock, grandstand and stands, concrete fences, and other facilities for guests and spectators.

"Later on, there will be a fence on top of the concrete to protect it, that's all that will be done, as well as the preparation for guests to use the mall, next door. But in general the circuit is 100 percent complete," said Anies.
