KALBAR - The Pontianak SAR Office has prepared a rapid response team during the 2022 Eid al-Fitr security in West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan). The team will move quickly when there is an emergency such as a transportation accident.

"The special SAR alert is in anticipation of emergency conditions for transportation accidents, both air, sea and land," said Head of the Pontianak SAR Office, Yopi Haryadi, after leading the Eid al-Fitr Security Preparedness Meeting in West Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Monday, April 25.

He explained that the Pontianak SAR team will synergize with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), Korlantas Polri, TNI, BMKG, local governments, toll road managers, referral hospitals and related ministries.

"Today we are carrying out a special preparedness meeting for Eid al-Fitr in 2022 in the West Kalimantan region. The readiness call is carried out to anticipate emergency conditions for transportation accidents going back and forth this time," he said.

He advised to maintain health protocols and carry out obligations with full responsibility.

This year's Eid special alert will be held from today until May 10, 2022 and is focused on airports, ports, sea or lake crossings, land transportation that has special vulnerabilities and tourist attractions, he said.

Previously, the West Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General (Pol) Suryanbodo Asmoro said, as many as 3,057 personnel from the ranks of the West Kalimantan Regional Police and the TNI as well as from other relevant agencies were deployed in the Ketupat Kapuas 2022 Operation which started from April 28 to May 9.

"A total of 3,056 personnel were deployed, consisting of 1,500 police personnel, then 265 from TNI personnel, and 1,291 people from other related agencies," he said.

He explained that his party will also establish as many as 59 posts, consisting of 28 security posts, 26 service posts, and five integrated posts, which are spread over the homecoming route points, crowd centers, malls and terminals and others.

"Of the 1,600 personnel from the police, consisting of as many as 463 personnel from the West Kalimantan Police, then from the Resort Police as many as 1,337 personnel who are tasked with providing security throughout the homecoming and return of Eid al-Fitr in 2022," he said.
