Odd-Even Trial On The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road Stalled At KM 13

JAKARTA - The trial application of the odd-even scheme on the Cikampek toll road during the Eid homecoming flow has an impact on the point of stagnation. The reason is that many vehicles pass by but do not match the date of use.

"There is a slowdown when the vehicle does not match the date," said Head of the Ops Division of the National Police Korlantas Kombes Eddy Djunaedi when confirmed, Monday, April 25.

The density of vehicles occurs on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section, precisely West Bekasi KM 13 to KM 14 in the direction of Cikampek.

Vehicles that do not match the date of use will also be dealt with by asking them to leave the toll road section. They are directed to the arterial road.

"The slowdown is due to the presence of vehicles that will be diverted via arterial routes," said Eddy.

However, the density of these vehicles can be broken down gradually. Eddy also claimed that the current condition had started to run smoothly.

"There are already vehicles that will go home, but they are still conducive," said Eddy.

Previously, the National Police Headquarters implemented a trial run of the odd-even scheme on toll roads from April 25 to April 27. The goal is to anticipate traffic jams due to the upcoming homecoming flow.

"We will conduct trials from Monday to Wednesday at the Cikampek Toll Road. As an effort to maintain security, safety, smoothness, and comfort for the people who will carry out the homecoming," said Eddy.

A number of sections on the Cikampek Toll Road have been prepared for the odd-even trial. One of them is at KM 47 to North Cikampek Toll Gate KM 70.

"Then on Tuesday 26 April, odd-even will be applied at KM 47 to Palimanan Toll Gate KM 188 from 11.00-13.00 WIB. Then on Wednesday, April 27, gage starts at 10.00-17.00 WIB at KM 47 to Kalikangkung Toll Gate KM 144 "Eddy said.
