Populi Center Survey, Prabowo Still Occupies The Peak Of Electability

JAKARTA - The results of the Populi Center survey place Prabowo Subianto, Ganjar Pranowo, and Anies Baswedan as the top three names with the highest electability for the 2024 presidential election.

"The names of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo have the first and second positions with a percentage of 24 percent each," said Populi Center researcher Rafif Pamenang Imawan, Sunday, April 24.

Meanwhile, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, received an electability survey of 12.1 percent. Followed by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, in fourth position with an electability of 6.3 percent.

"West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil is in fifth position with 5 percent electability," said Rafifi. Then, there is the chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, in sixth position with 4 percent. The seventh position is the Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, with a percentage of 2.4 percent. Meanwhile, the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa is in eighth position with a percentage of 1.4 percent. In the ninth and tenth positions there are SOE Minister Erick Thohir with an electability percentage of 1.3 percent, and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy with 0.9 percent.

"As for 15.3 percent have not decided, and 3.3 percent refused to answer," said Rafif.

As for the results of the survey on the level of preference for each of the names of the presidential election figures in 2024, the Populi Center found that the majority of the public stated that Prabowo Subianto was the most liked figure with 70.6 percent.

Followed by Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno (65.1 percent), Anies Baswedan (58.7 percent), Ganjar Pranowo (54 percent), Ridwan Kamil (51.6 percent), Tri Rismaharini (51.1 percent), Khofifah Indar Parawansa (47 percent), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (40.7 percent). Meanwhile, Puan Maharani (36.2 percent), Erick Thohir (35.6 percent), Nadiem Makarim (33.7 percent), Tito Karnavian (25.9 percent) , Andika Perkasa (25.2 percent), Muhaimin Iskandar (20.1 percent), and Airlangga Hartarto (19 percent).

The Populi Center, which is a non-profit public opinion and policy research institute, will conduct a face-to-face national survey from 21 to 29 March 2022.

In total there are 1,200 respondents spread proportionally in 34 provinces in Indonesia using a stratified random method and has a margin of error of ± 2.83 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
