Bogor Regency Faces Eid Al-Fitr Homecoming 2022, 1,200 Joint Personnel Standby At 20 Command Posts

BOGOR - A total of 20 security posts were built in Bogor Regency to face the 2022 Eid homecoming. At least 1,200 joint personnel will be alerted at the dozens of posts from April 28 to May 9, 2022.

"A total of 20 command posts are equipped with vaccination services for people who have not vaccinated or boosted so that people are healthy and safe from COVID-19 transmission during their homecoming," said Bogor Regent Ade Yasin after the Troops held at the Faithful Field, Cibinong, Bogor, quoted by Antara, Friday 22 April.

He said the deployment of the joint personnel was a mandate from the National Police Chief who ordered all elements of the TNI, Polri and the government to be involved in securing the homecoming flow.

However, according to him, security for the 2022 Eid homecoming is not enough to be left to security personnel alone, but requires community support in complying with health protocols.

"I urge travelers to take care of themselves and take care of their luggage, adjust the passenger capacity in each vehicle, don't over-capacity because it can cause accidents," he said.

Ade Yasin said the security packaged in Operation Ketupat 2022 will last for 12 days with a focus on securing 101,700 objects throughout Indonesia such as mosques, tourist attractions, shopping centers, terminals, ports, train stations and airports.

"Activities will continue post-Operation Ketupat 2022 on 10-17 May 2022 to anticipate possible backflows and the handling of COVID-19," he added.

He emphasized several things that must be anticipated, such as the threat of terrorism, thuggery, sweeping actions of mass organizations, scarcity of basic commodities, fuel, conventional crimes, community diseases, illegal racing, and drug abuse.
