Daihatsu Xenia Crushed By A Tree On Jalan Fatmawati Blok M, One Family Was Taken To Fatmawati Hospital

JAKARTA - Due to heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, a large tree on Jalan Raya Fatmawati, South Jakarta, fell.

Unexpectedly, the fallen tree trunk hit the white Daihatsu Xenia and Honda City cars that were nearby. Luckily, there were no fatalities in this incident, only 3 people were injured.

According to VOI monitoring at the scene, the tree fell at around 15.20 WIB. Seen at the scene of the incident two cars were badly damaged by falling trees. You can also see the signposts or road markings collapsing.

The incident also made the traffic situation on Jalan Raya Fatmawati congested. Two officers from the South Jakarta Transportation Service were seen regulating the flow of traffic to break down congestion.

An eye witness named Handoko said that the two cars that were hit by the tree were driving from the direction of Lebak Bulus to Blok M. However, Handoko continued, the tree suddenly fell and hit her.

"The car was heading towards Lebak Bulus, the two cars were going to the left towards Blok M. Just arriving at a fork, the tree fell on the car," said Handoko when met at the location, Friday, April 22.

Handoko explained, as a result of the incident three people suffered minor injuries, now they have been evacuated to Fatmawati Hospital.

"Earlier, he was taken to Fatmawati Hospital. I think the wound was light," he said.
