BADUNG - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said that the 2022 Eid homecoming will increase compared to 2019. Preparations for the homecoming flow have been carried out.

"It is possible that the current homecoming number will increase quite sharply. In 2019, the last one was recorded at around 33 million, if now it can reach 85 million as predicted by the Ministry of Transportation. That means almost three times those who will go home," said Muhadjir in Nusa Dua. , Badung, Bali, Thursday, April 21.

Therefore, the homecoming flow scheme is prepared, including the determination of joint leave and Eid holidays.

"We have to prepare it so that there will be no traffic jams, which will most likely occur. But don't let it cause prolonged social problems, so the holidays are made for a fairly long span," he added.

Most homecomers will come from Jakarta with destinations in West Java, Central Java and East Java.

"The targets are the biggest ones in Central Java, East Java, West Java, and Banten around that, actually. Bali is usually busy to visit tourist spots," he said.
