Luhut's Mantu, Who Is Now Pangkostrad, Has A Cool Position In The International Judo Federation

JAKARTA - The General Chair of the Executive Board of the All-Indonesian Judo Union (PB PJSI) as well as the Kostrad Commander Maruli Simanjuntak holds a strategic position in the board of the International Judo Federation (IJF).

Maruli is currently serving as Director Commissioner of the IJF Military and Police Commission or Director Commissioner of the IJF Military and Police.

This position is the first time for an Indonesian representative at the IJF. Later, Maruli will be responsible for supervising the development of judo in police and military agencies in the world.

"Thank you for the trust that IJF has given me. Of course this is a new challenge, but what is important is how my presence can make a major contribution to the development and prestige of judo in Indonesia," said Maruli, Thursday, April 21, quoted from Antara.

In addition, he also said that he would continue to coordinate with IJF regarding the event calendar and try to make Indonesia the host of various international championships.

"I will communicate with IJF first. Of course it would be better if the single event tournament was brought to Indonesia. This can also improve judo performance and judo positioning in Indonesia," said Maruli.

On the other hand, the Head of the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Marciano Norman congratulated Maruli on his new assignment.

"As the General Chair of the Central KONI, I would like to congratulate and appreciate the Chairman of the PB PJSI, Mr. Lt. Gen. Maruli Simanjuntak, who carries out the mandate as Director Commissioner of the IJF Military and Police Commission," said Marciano.

"Hopefully with this position, Mr. Maruli can improve the quality of coaching Judo in the country. I hope that Indonesian judo will continue to grow in the future," said Marciano.
