MATARAM - Police officers from the Mataram City Resort, West Nusa Tenggara, received the results of a clinical trial from the Pertamina Ampenan Depot regarding fuel oil (BBM) suspected of being mixed with diesel subsidies with dexlite.
"So, from the clinical trial results at the Pertamina Ampenan Depot, the octane number is more directed to dexlite," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Mataram Police Commissioner Kadek Adi Budi Astawa in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, April 20.
With the results of such clinical trials, the initial assumption that the fuel was a mixture of subsidized diesel with dexlite was broken.
In fact, to confirm this, Kadek Adi has ordered his members to examine witness statements, both from the Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) in the Mataram City area, which is the location for filling up and the driver of the fuel truck transporting the suspected bootleg.
"We have also checked the receipt for the purchase of fuel there. Indeed, there is a purchase of 1.9 tons of dexlite, there is also a subsidized diesel of Rp. 100,000. But the diesel is for truck fuel. Dexlite, purely enters the tank," he said.
With this result, Kadek ensured that the police would not continue this investigation into the criminal realm. The confiscated goods from the transport truck and fuel in a plastic tank located in the back box of the truck were also returned to their owners.
"Because the fuel he bought was non-subsidized, dexlite, there were no illegal acts or criminal elements found, we will no longer continue this problem," he said.
The fuel, which was previously suspected of being mixed with diesel subsidized dexlite, was caught by the Intelligence Team of Korem 162/Wira Bhakti, Tuesday (12/4), at one of the Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in the Mataram City area.
During his arrest, the intelligence team found that the suspected bootleg fuel was stored in a plastic tank with a capacity of 3,000 liters. The tank is located at the back of the truck with the roof covered with a tarp.
The driver previously admitted that the fuel was to supply the fuel needs of a company engaged in the rental of heavy equipment vehicles.
