JAKARTA - The workers will indeed start a long vacation on April 29. But if you are allowed to take leave, the police suggest that you go home earlier in Eid 2022.

"By going home earlier, it will prevent the accumulation of vehicles when the holiday leave is enforced," said the National Police Chief of Traffic, Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi in a written statement, Wednesday, April 20, quoted from Antara.

He hopes that people can go home earlier if they can take leave sooner than the government has set. That way, the burden of road conditions will be reduced if going home is not together.

"Going home early, this will reduce the burden of traffic congestion from April 28 to May 1," he continued.

The appeal, he said, was based on reports that school children had been dismissed on April 22, and ASN workers were only given leave on April 29.

In addition, the implementation of the one-way and odd-even system simultaneously on April 28 will be maximized. All joint personnel will be in full control, while urging the public to obey traffic.

"We have to arrange this so that people can go home smoothly, therefore we really hope that the important information that we have conveyed about the schedule is followed by what time they should depart from their place of origin to their destination," he said.

He also encouraged the public to take advantage of the free homecoming facilities provided by the government. By using this facility, there will be a reduction in the use of private vehicles.

"So this is one of the efforts of the government, including the National Police, which advises people to use public vehicles, so that it will reduce the number of vehicles on the road. Because it's free, please use it," he hoped.
