JAKARTA - Member of the PSI Party faction of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPRD), Idris Ahmad, has no problem with the Formula E interpellation meeting starting again after the electric racing event will be held on June 4. He emphasized that PSI focused on using DKI Regional Budget (APDB) rather than the Formula E event.
"The focus of this interpellation is not on the race, but on the use of the money. So, if the race is running and finished, we will still ask," said Idris when met at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Wednesday, April 20.
Idris emphasized that his party had no problem with the electric car race. Bearing in mind that the purpose of this interpellation proposal is to ask the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan regarding the use of the 2019 and 2020 DKI APBD for payment of the commitment fee.
"Responsibility of IDR 560 billion is used from the Dispora Regional Budget to pay the commitment fee, that's the problem. So, at the beginning we emphasized that it was not against the race, but we focused on the clarity of the use of the budget," said Idris.
In addition to the commitment fee, the DPRD will also use the right of interpellation to question the clarity of the revision of the feasibility study which must be corrected because the implementation has been postponed from 2020.
"The business potential, what is the potential return, how much profit, from Rp. 560 billion profit, what are the plans and in 3 years the potential profit must also be discussed," said Idris.
Previously, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, said that he would schedule a plenary meeting to determine the interpellation of Formula E in May 2022 after Eid al-Fitr.

Prasetyo said that after the joint leave ended, he would hold a meeting of the DKI DPRD Deliberative Body (Bamus) to determine the schedule for the interpellation plenary meeting.
"After Lebaran, yes, the main thing is to follow the holiday schedule. It could be later than May 9," Prasetyo said when contacted, Monday, April 18.
Prasetyo said the DPRD could not schedule a plenary session in the near future. This is because the Kebon Sirih parliament still has another meeting scheduled before the long Eid al-Fitr holiday.
"Right now, the time is tight. But this is only my suspension, at that time. So, later when I'm okay (schedule), I'll go straight away," he concluded.
