SURAKARTA - Head of the Surakarta City Manpower Office, Widyastuti Pratiwiningsih, said that his party would follow up on reports related to the payment of holiday allowances (THR) which were planned to be made in installments by a labor-intensive company.

His party is now trying to mediate after one of the factory employees who claimed to live in Jebres complained to the Surakarta Manpower Office recently.

"According to existing regulations, THR should be paid in full. We'll see during mediation, what are the obstacles and what is the best solution," he said in Solo, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 19.

Similarly, Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka said there were reports related to THR that had been submitted to the government.

"Yesterday there was a report by one of the factory employees in Solo regarding the payment of THR which will be repaid in five installments. We immediately followed up on this," he said.

In this regard, he appealed to employers not to pay THR in installments. "Tomorrow we will call the owner of the company to mediate with employees regarding the THR which is being paid in five installments," he said.

He will also carry out continuous monitoring of each company to ensure THR payments are made correctly. "If there are problems from the company in paying the THR, we will mediate and find a solution," he said.

Meanwhile, the complaint was recorded on the Surakarta Complaints Service Unit (ULAS) page. The complainant, who did not mention his name, asked Gibran to immediately provide a solution.

"This is the original color of the garment, there has been a notification in 5 installments... is there no solution,,, we've already paid 3 x thr in installments,,, they said we were even defaming ourselves..., please mas Gibran for his actions... We can only ask for help from Mr. Gibran, if it is not the same leader and who else can we ask for," wrote the complainant on the complaint site owned by the Surakarta City Government Government, ULAS.
