A Mobile Vegetable Seller In Benhil, Central Jakarta, Becomes A Victim Of Robbery, Money From Sales And Cellphones Are Taken Away

JAKARTA - A mobile vegetable trader named Sularmi became a victim of theft on Jalan Gelinggang, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

The robbery was caught on a CCTV camera and uploaded to an Instagram account. Based on the narrative, the incident experienced by Sularmi occurred on Monday, April 18.

In the action, the perpetrator using a motorbike approached the victim's vegetable cart. The perpetrator came pretending to be a buyer.

When the victim was careless, the perpetrator immediately took the victim's bag containing the money from selling vegetables, cellphones and a buyer's debt record book. After getting the target item, the perpetrator immediately stepped on the gas.

Meanwhile, the victim, knowing that her bag was stolen, tried to chase the perpetrator. But the victim's efforts were in vain, the perpetrator managed to escape.

Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief Kompol Haris confirmed the theft incident.

"It is true what happened, according to the existing recordings. The victim has not made a report," he said, Tuesday, April 19.

After receiving information about the incident, members of the Tanah Abang Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately checked the scene.
