MKD DPR Verifies Report Against Masinton Pasaribu, Case Follows Up If Formal Requirements Are Fulfilled

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) is currently verifying the public's report against the PDIP faction member of the DPR, Masinton Pasaribu, who is considered inappropriate in speaking about Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

Deputy Chairman of the MKD DPR RI Habiburokhman said his party was checking whether the report met the formal requirements or not. If it meets the requirements then the report will be followed up.

"Yesterday, I checked, it was entered, but currently the MKD secretariat team and experts are verifying the report to determine whether it meets the formal requirements or not," said Habiburokhman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 19.

At least, continued Habiburokhman, there are four formal requirements that must be met by the reporter. First, regarding the legal standing of the reporter on the case he reported.

"That is, what is the interest of the complainant in reporting this complaint to submit this complaint? If, for example, he is a victim, is it direct or what," explained the member of Commission III of the DPR.

Second, the report must relate to actions in Masinton's capacity as a member of the DPR. Third, whether the act has a big impact or not.

"Fourth, is there any kind of mediation communication between the parties," said the Gerindra politician. According to him, these four conditions will later be discussed in a plenary meeting at the DPR MKd. "That will be the subject of discussion at the plenary meeting if the conditions are proven," said Habiburokhman.

If the formal requirements have not been met, said Habiburokhman, it will take the complainant 14 days to complete the report. If within 14 days it has been fulfilled, the MKD immediately holds a formal meeting to discuss the follow-up.

"If it is completed within 14 days of the formal requirements, we will hold a plenary meeting of the Constitutional Court to discuss. All cases, if they meet the formal requirements, will be discussed," said Habiburokhman
