Overtake Failed, Motorcycle Rider Falls And Dies Instantly With Head Injury

TANGERANG – Trying to overtake the car in front, a motorcycle rider with the initials AA fell and eventually died on the spot with injuries to his head as a result of being run over.

Head of Traffic Division of the Tangerang City Metro Police, AKP Dhanar Dhono said the incident occurred on Jalan Raya Gatot Subroto, Jatiuwung, Tangerang City, Monday, April 18, at 23.20 WIB.

The incident began when the victim, riding a motorcycle with number BE 3852 WJ, drove from Bitung, Tangerang Regency to Jatiuwung.

While crossing the crime scene (TKP), the victim tried to overtake two four-wheeled vehicles in front of him, until he finally hit one of the cars and fell.

"The left handlebar of the motorbike (the victim) hit the left body of an unknown vehicle, so the victim swayed and fell under one of the vehicles (cars)," Dhanar said in his statement, Tuesday, April 19.

"The victim was run over by the right rear tire. He was injured in the head and died at the scene," he continued.

Knowing the victim died, the driver immediately fled. Meanwhile, the victim was immediately taken to the Tangerang District Hospital.

"The victim's body was taken to the Tangerang Regency General Hospital, while the driver of an unknown vehicle fled to Jatiuwung, Tangerang City," he said.
