Don't Let Any Company Try To Replace THR With Goods

JAKARTA - The Jayapura City Government (Pemkot) through the Manpower Service (Disnaker) asked the company not to provide holiday allowances (THR) for employees in the form of goods or parcels.

The Head of the Jayapura City Manpower Office, Djoni Naa, said that the Instruction of the Minister of Manpower (Menaker) of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the prohibition of paying THR in the form of goods would later be followed by a circular letter from the mayor.

"The name is also allowance so it cannot be given in the form of goods or parcels but in the form of money," said Djoni, Monday, April 18, quoted from Antara.

If there are companies that provide THR workers in the form of goods, they will be given sanctions. As a start, it can be given a stern warning through an official notification letter.

"Obviously there are sanctions, first we will give a strong warning through a written letter, the second can be fined," he said.

He explained that so far in Jayapura City, there has not been a company giving THR in the form of goods to employees, so he hopes that this will not happen.

"We hope that this way there will be no companies violating the rules," he said again.

He added that if there are workers who report to the complaint post regarding THR payments, their party immediately checks the company.

"So we are also waiting if there are workers who complain to us, we will immediately reprimand the company," he said.
