Feeling Threatened, Guntur Romli Reports UGM Professor Karna To Polda Metro

JAKARTA - Indonesian Solidarity Party politician, Mohamad Guntur Romli reported Gajah Mada University (UGM) professor, Karna Wijaya, to the Metro Jaya Police. The report relates to allegations of threats and incitement on social media.

"I felt threatened and instigated because there was a post on FB containing a photo of me and my wife, the contents of which were paid in installments one by one," said Guntur Romli to reporters, Monday, April 18.

The threat was in the form of a poster featuring Guntur Romli, his wife, Eko Kuntadi and Deny Siregar. Then, there is also Ade Armando's face which has been marked with a cross.

Even that poster seemed to indicate that Gutur Romli and other people were being targeted. There are at least 9 people on the poster.

"So it means that if I understand this, it's like the target wants to be judged like the next Ade Armando," he said. This allegation was reinforced by the many comments on the post. It contains sentences that contain threats.

"This is also reinforced by the comments made by Karna Wijaya with the words slaughtered and slaughtered. I saw that it was a serious threat," said Guntur.

The report was registered with the number STTLP/B/1983/IV/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA. The reporting party is suspected of violating Article 160 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 29 in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (3) and/or Article 28 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (2) of the ITE Law.
