JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria reminded DKI state civil servants (ASN) not to use cars or official vehicles when going home for Lebaran this year.

Riza said that this has also been stated in circular letter (SE) Number 13 of 2022 concerning Leave for State Civil Servants during the National Holiday Period and Joint Leave for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah.

"ASN can go home according to the rules and the times and conditions have been regulated. Among them are not allowed to bring official vehicles according to the rules and regulations regulated by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, April 18.

Riza hopes that ASN Jakarta can go home smoothly and return to the capital city and return to work after the leave period is over.

"We hope that this year's homecoming can go well, smoothly, be able to meet with relatives in the village, and return to Jakarta on time," he said.

The KPK also stated the prohibition not to use official cars. The KPK said this does not only apply to ASN, but also state officials, to employees of BUMD and BUMN.

The Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Prevention, Ipi Maryati, said that this prohibition must be enforced to maintain integrity and potential conflicts of interest.

"KPK always reminds and appeals to the heads of ministries/institutions/regional governments as well as BUMN/BUMD to prohibit the use of official facilities for personal interests," Ipi said in a written statement to VOI, Thursday, April 14.

Furthermore, to the heads of institutions/ministry as well as BUMN/D who have issued this regulation internally, the Corruption Eradication Commission gives appreciation. This step is appropriate because official facilities should be used for work purposes, not personal interests such as returning to their hometown.

"Service facilities should only be used for official-related purposes," he said.
