Residents Have Difficulty Accessing DKI Free Homecoming Web, Here's Why

JAKARTA - A number of netizens complained about the website www.mudikfreedkijakarta.id as a place to register for free homecoming provided by the DKI Provincial Government. Residents admitted that the website often made errors when filling out the homecoming registration form.

Responding to this, the Head of the Road Transportation Division of the DKI Transportation Service, Yayat Sudrajat, emphasized that the difficulty of accessing the homecoming website was not because the registrant quota was full.

"It's not full yet. So far, of the 11 thousand quota (for homecoming), only 6,500 have successfully registered. That's why it's not full yet," Yayat said when contacted, Monday, April 18.

Then why is it difficult for residents to access the free homecoming registration web page? Yana stated that the number of people who access the free homecoming website has exploded. In fact, there were 4.8 million people who accessed it at one time.

Due to the increase in traffic, Yana continued, the web hosting capacity of the site became full and difficult to access.

"Yesterday the error was due to the traffic at that time 4.8 million registered. So, it takes people's patience, as well as the strength of the internet signal," said Yayat.

However, Yayat admitted that their technology team has made efforts to facilitate accessing the free homecoming website.

"So our IT team has made a queue, now it's smoother. Because learning from the ministry was down, right. We learn and make queues like that," he continued.

For information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is holding a free homecoming program this year. The DKI Provincial Government has prepared a quota of 19,680 free homecoming participants specifically for DKI Jakarta residents with a number of conditions.

The DKI Provincial Government provides 17 destination locations spread to Central Java, East Java, Lampung and Palembang with passenger bus departures from the Pulogebang terminal and motorbike truck departures from Pulogadung Terminal.
