JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) responded to a summons sent by University of Indonesia (UI) Lecturer Ade Armando through his attorney Muannas Alaidid, to the Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno regarding a tweet on social media (social media). Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of PAN Slamet Ariyadi assessed that the summons had the wrong address. Because according to him, Eddy Soeparno did not mention Ade Armando's name but only the initials AA.

"Judging from the subpoena material, they concluded that AA was Ade Armando. Meanwhile, the Secretary General of PAN Eddy Soeparno never mentioned Ade Armando's name in his tweets. From here, it's clear the address is wrong!" said Slamet Ariyadi to reporters, Monday, 18 April. Slamet emphasized that the PAN DPP will take a stand and take action against Ade Armando who sent a summons to Eddy Soeparno as secretary general of the party.

"Ketum and Secretary General are symbols and honor of the party. If there are accusations against them it means dealing with institutions and no longer individuals," he stressed. "We will respond with measured, dignified and legal action," continued Slamet. According to the member of the DPR for the Madura Dapil, it is better for Ade Armando and his attorney to focus on investigating the perpetrators of the beating during the demonstration at the DPR Building on 11 last April. Slamet also advised Ade's side to ask for clarity about the status for Ade Armando's own good.

"Everyone can also read news and information that says Ade Armando's SP3 has been revoked by the South Jakarta District Court and is considered invalid. Lawyers should be busy clarifying this for Ade Armando's own good. They are not busy sending subpoenas here and there," concluded Slamet. It is known that Ade Armando through his attorney Muanas Alaidid sent a subpoena to the Secretary General of PAN, Eddy Soeparno. The summons was filed in relation to Eddy's tweet about blasphemy which Muanas claimed was alleged to be against Ade Armando. On his Twitter account @eddy_soeparno tweeted about blasphemy and religious scholars on April 12, 2022, at 19.06 WIB. The following is the content of Eddy's tweet:

"I support the investigation and legal action against perpetrators of violence against AA, but I also support firm legal action against those who insult religion and scholars, including AA." Associates wrote several points, one of which asked Eddy to delete his tweet and apologize to Ade Armando. "If within 3x24 hours you do not delete the tweet and immediately apologize to our client via your Twitter account, then we will file a criminal and civil lawsuit," Muanas wrote in his subpoena.
