BOGOR - Cianjur Police Headquarters Iptu Yudistira revealed that the Bogor Puncak route to Cianjur and vice versa until Sunday 17 April was normal without queuing vehicles. Traffic was normal although the volume of vehicles increased during the long holiday weekend.

Iptu Yudistira explained that queues with slowed vehicles were seen at the T-junction towards tourist attractions such as Hanjawar, Cibodas T-junction, and Jalan Raya Pacet, only lasted for a few minutes.

"The queues did not extend, they were only hampered by the flow of vehicles into and out of tourist attractions and hotels. Although there was no visible queue, anticipation efforts were still being made by placing dozens of members along the Puncak-Cianjur route," he said, quoted from Antara, Sunday, April 17.

The surge in vehicles was not too heavy during the long holiday this weekend, he said, due to the odd-even implementation that had been carried out since Friday, April 15, starting from the exit of the Ciawi-Bogor toll road and from Bandung to Cianjur so that it could reduce the number of new arrivals.

"Because of the odd-even implementation, the fasting atmosphere is added, so that the flow of newcomers is not too high, but to anticipate the flow engineering will be carried out at night, if there is a delay in the queue to Bogor," he said.

Monitoring until the evening of the Puncak-Cianjur route was still normal with the flow of vehicles heading towards Bogor which continued to increase, which was dominated by immigrants who wanted to return to their original areas after vacationing in the Puncak-Cipanas area.
