South Tangerang Police Arrest 2 Drug Dealers In Deli Serdang

SELATAN TANGERANG - The Narcotics Unit of the South Tangerang Police (Tangsel) arrested two drug dealers. The two people had the initials RJ and SS.

According to the Head of Narcotics Investigation Unit at the South Tangerang Police, AKP Amantha Wijaya, the two men were arrested in the Deli Serdang area, Medan, North Sumatra, Saturday, April 16.

"We arrested two suspects with the initials SS and RJ," said Amantha in his statement, Sunday.

He explained that the arrest was initiated by a public report regarding a plan to ship methamphetamine from the Deli Serdang area, Medan, North Sumatra.

The South Tangsel Police Narcotics Sat Team tried to give chase until they finally caught S in the Lobby of Reddorz Binjai, North Sumatra.

"We got a plastic package of Chinese tea brand Guanyiwang in which there was a clear plastic package containing narcotics of methamphetamine type with a gross weight of 1000 grams," he explained.

After SS was arrested, the South Tangerang Police Satnarkoba continued to develop until they finally arrested RJ. He was arrested in the Percu Sei Tuan area, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.

"From the hands of the perpetrator (RJ) 10 plastic packages were obtained which contained marijuana-type narcotics with a total gross weight of 1,708.3 grams," he said.

In the confession of the perpetrator, Amantha explained that the drugs would be circulated to the South Tangerang area to DKI Jakarta and its surroundings.

"(So) the plan will be sent to the South Tangerang area, as well as DKI Jakarta and its surroundings," he explained.

For his actions, the two perpetrators were charged with Article 114 (2) subsidiary 112 (2) subsidiary 111 paragraph (2) UURI No. 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics, with the threat of capital punishment, life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years.
