Men Robbed Minimarket In Medan, Perpetrators Had Hosted 2 Employees

MEDAN - Minimarket located on Jalan Veteran, Medan Labuhan District, Medan City, North Sumatra, was attacked by robbers. During the robbery, the two minimarket employees were arrested by the perpetrators.

An eye witness, Budi said the incident occurred at around 06.30 WIB, Saturday, April 16, when the minimarket was about to open. The suspect, who is believed to have acted alone, took two men and a woman hostage.

"He was held hostage on the 2nd floor, he knew there was a robbery, when a friend of the victim came to the shop about to enter, he suddenly screamed for help," he told reporters.

According to him, the perpetrator had tied the body with rope and covered the victim's mouth with duct tape.

"The woman's shoelaces were tied together, her hands were also taped," he continued.

The incident was discovered when a colleague of the two victims who came and saw immediately screamed for help.

"The perpetrator was about to run away, but the residents here were detained at the same time," he said.

The perpetrator was immediately taken to the nearest police station. The two victims were taken to the hospital.

Separately, the Head of the Medan Labuhan Police, Kompol Mustafa Nasution, when confirmed, confirmed the incident.

"The perpetrator with the initials H, comes from Kisaran, Asahan Regency," said Police Commissioner Mustafa, Saturday, April 16.

However, Kompol Mustafa has not explained the incident in detail.
