KENDARI - The Kendari National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) found a 62-year-old man named Ismail who was reported missing in the Lalindu River in Lamonea Village, Wiwirano, North Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi). Ismail was found dead.

Head of Kendari Basarnas Aris Sofingi in Kendari, Thursday, said Ismail was reported missing on Wednesday, April 13. The victim was found by the joint SAR Team after the second day of the search operation.

"The victim was found at 16.20 WITA earlier by the joint SAR team, dead about 2 kilometers south of where the victim was reported missing," he said.

After being found, the victim's body was then evacuated by the joint SAR Team to be handed over to his family for burial.

At that time, the victim's colleagues only found clothes belonging to Ismail on the banks of the Lalindu River. The family and the local community have searched but were not found so the incident was reported to the Kendari Basarnas.
