JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force for Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands noted that 17,701 elderly people had received the first dose of vaccination, or 77 percent of the 22,988 targeted elderly people.

"To date, 17,701 elderly people in Bangka Regency spread across eight sub-districts have received the first dose of vaccination," said Bangka Regency COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Boy Yandra in Sungailiat, Thursday, April 14.

While the achievement of the second dose in the same group, he said, only reached 15,028 people or 65.37 percent. The achievement rate for the first and second doses will increase because the vaccination booth is opened every day.

"With the opening of vaccination booths every day, it helps facilitate public access to vaccination services, both the first, second and booster vaccines," he explained, quoted from Antara.

The achievement of vaccination in all age groups except children aged six to 11 years, said Boy Yandra, realized the first dose of 201,731 or 79.06 of the total target of 255,161 people.

While the second dose reached 150,028 people or 65.37 percent of the total target the same as the first dose, and the booster or booster dose was 30,467 people.

"We remind people who have not received the vaccine, they should immediately register at the nearest outlet, especially for prospective travelers who want to go home, they must have received a booster vaccine," said Boy Yandra.
