Get Ready For 100,023 ASN To Move First To IKN Nusantara, Including High Functional Officials In Jakarta

JAKARTA - A total of 100,023 state civil servants (ASN) are planned to be relocated to the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan. The relocation will be carried out in the span of 2024-2029 in stages.

This was conveyed by the Director of State Apparatus of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas Prahesti Pandanwangi in the Webinar on Infrastructure Readiness and Migration of ASN to IKN Early 2024 which was followed online in Jakarta, Thursday 14 April.

"For the initial exercise for the demographic profile of the civil servants that we will transfer, there are a total of 100,023 ASN. This includes state officials, functional high-ranking officials in Jakarta and its surroundings who may be gradually transferred," he said.

Prahesti said that in the demographic profile of civil servants designed by the government, the displacement of 100,023 ASN will include 956 state officials, 3,264 high-ranking officials and 95,803 high functional officials.

Based on their age, the majority of ASN transferred to the IKN are young employees. With details of the group of civil servants who are aged 30-39 years by 34.5 percent, 40-49 years 28.8 percent and ages 50-60 years 19.8 percent.

Meanwhile, in terms of gender, 54 percent of the transferred ASN were male and 46 percent female.

In the initial profile, Prahesti also stated that the majority of the transferred civil servants had an education level of Strata-1 (S1) as much as 51.3 percent, followed by Strata-2 (S2) 26.7 percent, Strata-3 (S3) 1.6 percent and Diploma-3 (D3) as much as 14.8 percent.

"So in the future, it is also necessary to think about changes in the way of working that follow the needs of our young ASN comrades," he said, as reported by Antara.

According to Prahesti, the government has also prepared the provision of four facilities to ASN who will move to IKN. The four things provided are official housing in the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP), expensive allowances, moving costs according to applicable regulations and flexible facility arrangements tailored to the needs of each ASN.
