JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Lili Pintauli Siregar has been urged to resign from his position. This pressure arose because Lili was again reported to the Supervisory Board after allegedly receiving accommodation and tickets for the Mandalika MotoGP from a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN).

The KPK Supervisory Board admitted that it was following up on the alleged gratification report that Lili received. A number of steps have been taken, including asking related parties to bring proof of booking accommodation at Amber Lombok Beach Resort and Mandalika MotoGP tickets at the Grandstand Premium Zone A-Red.

A number of parties also reacted to demand that Lili resign from her position. One of those who conveyed this insistence was the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI), Boyamin Saiman.

This anti-corruption activist said that it was time for Lili to resign because she was considered a burden and useless for the anti-corruption commission. This step, continued Boyamin, also aims for the good of the KPK.

"For the good of the KPK, LPS should have resigned. We are of the view that LPS has burdened the KPK and is no longer useful to the KPK," said Boyamin in a written statement to reporters, Wednesday, April 13.

Not only that, Boyamin considered that the reporting of the alleged gratification should be a second yellow card for Lili. This is because the first yellow card was given by the Supervisory Board when he was proven to have violated ethics after communicating with the former Mayor of Tanjungbalai, M Syahrial.

Not only that, Boyamin also mentioned that Lili is currently still a 'patient' of the KPK Supervisory Board regarding allegations of lying at a press conference by saying she had never communicated with Syahrial. In fact, what happened was the opposite.

In line with Boyamin, ICW researcher Kurnia Ramadhana also believes that Lili should resign from her position if she is proven guilty of violating ethics, especially if she actually accepts gratuities.

"If the request is ignored, the Supervisory Board must write to the President to immediately dismiss Lili on the grounds that she has committed a disgraceful act in accordance with Article 32 paragraph (1) letter c of Law Number 19 of 2019," explained Kurnia.

Dewas urged to act fast

Not only urging Lili to resign from her position, the KPK Supervisory Board was also asked to immediately investigate this alleged gratification. A proactive attitude, said Kurnia, must be shown by Tumpak Hatorangan et al in this investigation.

There are various ways that the KPK Supervisory Board can do to show how proactive they are. For example, collecting relevant evidence such as evidence of communications, flight manifests, or CCTV footage at the Mandalika Circuit.

"In addition, the KPK Supervisory Board must immediately bring this alleged violation of the code of ethics to the ethics trial," said Kurnia.

In addition, the KPK must also investigate the criminal allegations in this award. "Because the area of action is not in the Supervisory Board. So, coordination is needed between the Supervisory Board and the Deputy for Enforcement," he said.

Moreover, if proven to have received Lili's gratification, the punishment could be up to 20 years in prison or even life. This is because his actions clearly violated Article 12B of the Anti-Corruption Law.

"And the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK can be threatened with a prison sentence of 20 years or even life," Kurnia explained.

Likewise, if these accommodations and tickets are given to secure a case at the KPK. Just like gratuities, the punishment is also up to 20 years in prison or life.

For information, this is not the first time this complaint has been directed against Lili. On August 30, 2021, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) Council stated that Lili was proven to have violated the code of ethics and code of conduct, so she was sentenced to severe sanctions.

He was found guilty of violating the code of ethics and behavioral guidelines in the form of abuse of influence as a KPK leader for personal interests and dealing directly with the party whose case is being handled by the KPK, namely the Mayor of Tanjungbalai M Syahrial.

For her actions, Lili was given a severe sanction in the form of cutting her basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months or Rp. 1,848 million.
