The Reason Why Polda Metro Jaya Is Still Detaining 6 Intruders From The April 11 Action Has Not Been Repatriated

JAKARTA - Dozens of intruders who were arrested during the student demonstrations on April 11 have been repatriated. However, 6 of them are still being processed because they were found to be carrying weapons and preparing to cause riots.

"But we will continue the investigation of 6 of them. Why? Because one was carrying a sharp weapon and the second was preparing himself for a riot," said Director of General Crime Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat to reporters, Tuesday, April 12.

They were secured around the National Monument (Monas) and the DPR RI area. The six people carried weapons such as catapults and marbles as ammunition.

Based on the examination, his status was not a student. They are listed as students to traders.

"The first is as a student, the second is not working, the third is not working, the fourth is a trader, the fifth is a laborer, the sixth is a satay maker, as well as a trader," said Tubagus. In addition, some of them also came from outside Jakarta. The reason for coming to the location of the action was because they felt called by the calls circulating on social media.

In fact, they did not even know the demands of the demonstration. On that basis they were arrested.

"Because there are invitations that are serialized with various platforms inviting people to demonstrate, people to demonstrate," said Tubagus.

Previously, the Polda Metro Jaya secured 80 students while they were about to take part in an action at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta.
