Viral Motorcycle Thieves In Tukad Pakerisan Denpasar Massive Rampage

DENPASAR - A video circulated of a motorcycle theft (curanmor) being attacked by a mob on Jalan Tukad Pakerisan, Denpasar, Bali.

The South Denpasar Police Chief, Kompol I Gede Sudyatmaja, confirmed that the police had arrested the perpetrator of the theft. The perpetrator named Supriyadi (34) from Lumajang, East Java.

"The perpetrators have been taken to the South Denpasar Police Headquarters for further investigation," said Sudyatmaja, Monday, April 11.

The motorcycle theft occurred at a boarding house on Jalan Tukad Yeh Aya, Renon, South Denpasar, Bali. At that time, the victim named Nur Fahmi Amirudin parked his motorbike in the boarding house parking lot without the handlebars locked.

However, when the victim woke up in the morning, the motorbike was gone. "With this incident the victim suffered material losses and reported it to the South Denpasar Police," added Sudyatmaja.

The police, who received the information, immediately processed the crime scene (TKP). The perpetrators, known to residents who often pass on Jalan Tukad Pakerisan, were immediately enraged by the masses.

"The modus operandi was a fake key. The perpetrator admitted that he had committed theft in which the evidence in the form of a Honda Vario 125 motorcycle was hidden on Jalan Tukad Balian, Gang Mandala in a boarding house parking lot," said Sudyatmaja.
