JAKARTA - A man whose identity has not been identified was secured by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) from the tantrums of the demonstrators at the Monas Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta, Monday 11 April, afternoon.

The man in the white shirt was said to have taken the cellphones of three female students with the initials B, R and A from a university in the Bekasi area who were documenting the demonstration.

"He took the cellphone belonging to a woman (student)," said one of the students who took part in securing the man suspected of committing the crime, Monday, April 11.

The man in the white shirt was swarmed by demonstrators who were furious at his actions. The man in the white shirt even admitted that he was accused of taking a cellphone.

"Slandered, slandered. I was slandered to take my cellphone," admitted the perpetrator.

However, the perpetrators were still taken away by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim for BAP. The perpetrators were taken to the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

Meanwhile, according to the victim's statement with the initials B, he was documenting the protest oration then suddenly his cell phone was stolen.

"I was recording my speech earlier, suddenly my cellphone was forcibly confiscated by him (the perpetrator). After the mass found out about the demonstration, the perpetrator was immediately arrested," he told VOI.
