JAKARTA - The Belitung Regency Health Office of Bangka Belitung Islands Province recorded that 20,126 residents of the 145,010 targets in the area had received booster doses of vaccines.

She added that the number of children aged six to 11 years in the area who had received the COVID-19 vaccination was 16,925 children from 16,434 targets or 102.99 percent.

"From this number, 15,081 children aged six to 11 years in Belitung have received the second dose of vaccination", she said.

She appealed to people who have not received the COVID-19 vaccination to immediately vaccinate at several available vaccine places and outlets.

"Vaccination is important because it can prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of death from COVID-19", she said.
