BOGOR - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) revealed the reason for the temporary suspension of the operation of the Pangrango Bogor-Sukabumi Train (KA) for more than eight months so that the double track construction along the line was quickly completed.

Director General of Railways at the Ministry of Transportation Zulfikri when inspecting the first operation of the Pangrango Bogor-Sukabumi train at Paledang Station, Sunday, April 10, said that a lot of double-rail construction work had to be done regarding the level of security for all parties.

Of the 11 stations passed by the Pangrango Bogor-Sukabumi train, starting from Paledang Station in Bogor City to Sukabumi Station, the first phase has saved six stations, namely Paledang Station, Batutulis Station in Bogor City, then Maseng Station, Ciomas Station, Cigombong Station in Bogor Regency. , and Cicurug Station, Sukabumi Regency.

The operation of the Pangrango train in the first stage is still carried out on one line with an increase in speed and the number of train sets from five to eight circuits.

This route has reduced travel time from 4 to 6 hours from Bogor to Sukabumi, now only 120 minutes or 2 hours.

The Ministry of Transportation targets that 96 percent of the double track work will be completed by the end of April 2022, so that in early May 2022 the operation of the Pangrango train can be on two lines at once, Bogor-Sukabumi.

Zukfikri revealed that the route from Cicurug Station to Paledang Station had enough since the morning from 4.00 WIB to continue towards Jakarta.
