JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Airlangga visited the city of Padang to attend the Appointment and Inauguration of the Honorary Professor of Padang State University, Dr. Fahmi Idris, SE, MH, in the field of Human Resources. Also present on the occasion were Members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, the Governor of West Sumatra, the Chancellor and the ranks of the Padang State University academic community.

Research Prof. Fahmi himself is related to the development of humanistic management models in business organizations to achieve success by humanizing humans.

“Indeed, the main goal of various Government programs is to humanize humans, which is related to dignity, self-esteem, and also pride as a human being. Therefore, the program presented by Prof. This Fahmi is very relevant, because we are currently facing extraordinary changes," said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

On this occasion, Coordinating Minister Airlangga explained that the Government also has an Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) which is expected to be able to provide productive funding for the world of education. In addition, by collaborating with the private sector, the Government also provides fiscal incentives in the form of a Super Deduction Tax of up to 300% for research and development activities.

Humanity-based development has actually been carried out by the Government in every public policy-making effort. In an effort to deal with Covid-19 and to recover the national economy, the Government continues to use a strategy that prioritizes the balance between life and livelihood as reflected in the "gas and brake" policy.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto explained that the essence of handling the Covid-19 pandemic is the human being himself. "Two things, namely human life and livelihood, are balanced by the Government, and of course the approach is humanistic, namely how human values are the highest in public policy," added Coordinating Minister Airlangga during his visit to Padang City, West Sumatra Province, Saturday, September 9. April.

In relation to global challenges due to geopolitical conditions in Russia and Ukraine, the Government has anticipated the impact of rising global commodity prices, especially food and energy commodities through policies that favor the community by strengthening social assistance.

Not only that, so that the community is prosperous and can escape extreme poverty, the Government also has a roadmap that targets the extreme poverty rate to be close to 0 in 2024. “The government continues to encourage and strengthen community protection, namely protection for humans in the form of social protection and social assistance. ” explained Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

After attending the inauguration event, Coordinating Minister Airlangga greeted the Padang State University students and took the time to have a short dialogue and serve students who asked for signatures on the MSME Financing book written by Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
