The Viral Action Of The Sarong Brawl At The Tanah Abang Goat Market, Started With Mutual Ridicule

Jakarta - A video showing a brawl using a sarong has gone viral on social media. It was later discovered that this incident took place at the Goat Market and was carried out by a minor.

The video uploaded to the Instagram account @Jakarta. Recently, the underage boy was seen in a brawl which was divided into two groups. They act in the middle of the road, when vehicles pass by at that location.

Tanah Abang Police Chief, Kompol Haris Kurniawan said the incident occurred KH. Mas Mansyur, Goat Market, Tanah Abang, Saturday, April 9, morning. They act after performing the dawn prayer.

"He only wore a sarong. After we came to disperse, they ran away, so they weren't immediately arrested," Haris said when contacted by Voi.id, Saturday, April 9.

The incident began when the perpetrators of the brawl were gathering, after performing the dawn prayer. They then met another group, until finally mocking each other.

"Initially the ridicule was ridicule. After that they were chased with a sarong. There was no stone slab," he said.

Haris suspected that the boys did what they did when members were on patrol. Therefore, he said he would increase guard posts in these vulnerable areas.

"We will add additional posts. From 6-8 in the morning. Maybe (they fight when) members are on patrol, see if we are careless, he plays (brawl)," he said.
