GARUT - Young people who are members of the Friends of SandiUno Garut have declared their support for Sandiaga Uno to run in the 2024 Presidential Election. The declaration was held on Patriot Street, Garut Regency, West Java, Friday, April 8th.
Coordinator of Friends of SandiUno Garut Aa Usep Ebit Mulyana said the declaration of millennials from cross-professional circles such as MSME activists and young Garut farmers departed from the figure of Sandiaga Uno who was able to overcome the unemployment problem.
"We believe Pak Sandiaga can open up a lot of job opportunities," said Ebit as quoted by Antara. He considered Sandiaga to be an ideal figure to lead a nation that has the capital to lift the economy and tourism, especially in Garut Regency.
"We really believe that Mr. Sandi Uno is an ideal leader to lead Indonesia in the future, especially in Garut Regency, which has great tourism potential," he said.
Ebit emphasized that Friends of SandiUno Garut are ready to organize volunteers and socialize Sandiaga to all levels of society in Garut Regency.
He hopes that the Sahabat SandiUno volunteer movement can win over Sandiaga Uno, who currently serves as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in the 2024 Presidential Election and becomes Indonesia's leader.
"Maintaining communication with the volunteers, publicizing the wider community at every level that Pak Sandi is the only ideal figure in the contestation for the presidential election in the future," he said.
Volunteer Friends of SandiUno Garut, representative of millennial MSMEs, Agus Solehudin, assessed that Sandiaga Uno was consistent in efforts to build MSMEs which could eventually increase job opportunities.
"It is hoped that more small and medium-sized businesses will be more advanced, more assisted, prioritized, especially in the current pandemic era, not a few have gone out of business," Agus said.
In addition to making the declaration, Sahabat SandiUno Garut also distributed food packages containing rice, cooking oil, sardines, sugar, tea, salt, corned beef, and instant noodles to MSMEs on Jalan Patriot Dalam. Volunteers also signed a commitment to support Sandiaga.
