Regent Says Thousands Of Teachers In Garut Have Not Become Government Employees

GARUT - Garut Regent Rudy Gunawan revealed, thousands of teachers who teach in schools in his area have not become government employees.

"There are still thousands of people who still have unclear positions, thousands of people," said Rudy when inaugurating 196 government employee teachers with work agreements (PPPK) at the Garut Regency Regional Secretariat, West Java, as reported by Antara, Friday, April 8.

He said that honorary teachers have the opportunity to become PPPK when the government recruits government employees with work agreements next year.

"God willing, next year there will be more than a thousand, but we have to follow the processes and regulations that apply," he said.

The regent explained that teachers who already had PPPK status had an employee identification number (NIP) and had the opportunity to become school principals.

"As a civil servant coach, I only make a decree that gives clear status to the brothers after fulfilling the applicable provisions, you still have your NIP," he said.

The Regent congratulated the teachers who were appointed as government employees after decades of teaching in schools and undergoing the selection process.

He also expressed his pride in a 59-year-old teacher who passed the selection and was appointed to become a PPPK.

"The mother was 59 years old who became a teacher in my village in the Sucinaraja area, Wanaraja. Of course we give respect and applause to the 59-year-old mother," he said. straighten the morals of our children," he added.

The head of the Garut Regency Personnel and Training Education Agency, Didit Fajar Putradi, said that the 196 teachers who were inaugurated as PPPK on Friday were the result of the 2021 selection.

Teachers who are appointed as PPK include teachers of Islam, Indonesian, English, Counseling Guidance, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physical Education, Sports, and Health, Pancasila and Citizenship Education, Crafts and Entrepreneurship, Cultural Arts, and Information and communication technology.
