Police Shoot Dead Perpetrators Of Material Store Theft In Deli Serdang Who Tried To Take Senpi

MEDAN - A shop theft specialist with the initials MR alias Entik (30) was shot dead by a team from the Jatanras Satreskrim Unit of the Medan Polrestabes. MR was shot for resisting the arrest process.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Polrestabes Kompol M Firdaus said the perpetrator was arrested on the report of a victim named Suwardi (60). The victim reported that his material shop located on Jalan Pembangunan, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency was burglarized by MR and his friend MD, who was arrested first.

Kompol Firdaus explained that MR's arrest began with information obtained by the police regarding his whereabouts.

"It was discovered that MR was on the side of the road at Jalan Balai Desa. Then the officers immediately arrested the perpetrators," said Kompol Firdaus, Thursday, April 7.

During a search, the police found a bayonet in MR's trouser pocket. Furthermore, the police carried out developments to look for other evidence.

"During development, the perpetrator tried to fight back by seizing the officer's weapon. The officers swiftly took decisive and measured action on the perpetrator's left chest and his life could not be saved," he said.

"So the modus operandi of the perpetrators is stealing to get money for daily life and buying drugs," he continued.
