Here's How To Fill In The E-HAC Which Is A Requirement For Going Home On A Plane

JAKARTA - The Chief of Digital Transformation Office (DTO) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Setiaji reminded that filling out the electronic Health Alert Card (e-HAC) is a requirement for going home by airplane.

This is stated in the Circular Letter (SE) of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Transportation Number 36 of 2022 concerning Instructions for Domestic Travel by Air Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

"Starting April 5, filling out the e-HAC is a requirement that must be done by travelers using air transportation," Setiaji said in his statement, Thursday, April 7.

e-HAC is filled out online by airplane passengers the day before the departure date or before checking-in. In its implementation, officers at the airport will check the feasibility of traveling via e-HAC or those that have been filled in by the travelers.

Setiaji revealed that the requirements for filling out e-HAC during the homecoming and Eid holidays are aimed at making it easier for the public and officers in the field to go through the process of checking travel eligibility.

"This e-HAC filling requirement is intended to simplify and speed up the process of checking travel eligibility by officers, so that there is no accumulation of passenger queues during inspections," he said.

This e-HAC filling rule is not required for children aged 6 years and under who are exempt from vaccination requirements and are not required to carry out an antigen test or RT-PCR as a condition of travel.

Furthermore, Setiaji said that in the future the application of filling out e-HAC as a condition for going home will apply to all modes of transportation.

"In addition to air travel, the rules for filling out e-HAC are also planned as a condition for traveling by land and sea transportation during the homecoming period until the Eid holiday. This will be implemented after the director general in the relevant ministry issues a circular that regulates this," Setiaji said.

Here's how to fill out e-HAC for domestic travelers using air transportation: 1. Download the latest version of the Cares Protect application2. Create a new account or log in if you already have a PeduliLindung3 account. Click the “e-HAC” feature, then select “Create e-HAC”4. Select “Domestic” for domestic travelers5. Select the means of travel "Air"6. Select the date and fill in the flight number7. If the flight number is not found, fill in the flight data manually by selecting the name of the airline, airport of departure and destination8. Make sure the information is correct, then click “Continue”9. The contents of "Personal Data", can be filled in a maximum of 4 people at once10. Then you can check the airworthiness. If it is stated 'fit to fly', select save the information you have previously filled in.11. After that, select “Confirm” and you are done.

If the traveler gets the 'unfit to fly' status, manual validation can be done by showing the vaccine certificate and antigen or RT-PCR test results at PeduliLindung or physical documents to the Port Health Office (KKP) officer at the airport.

For information, the government has allowed people to go home for this year's Eid. For residents who have received the third dose of vaccination (booster) can go home freely.

Meanwhile, for those who have just received the second dose of vaccination, they are required to complete the conditions for going home with a negative result of an antigen test a maximum of 1×24 hours or an RT-PCR test a maximum of 3×24 hours before departure.

Then, for travelers who have just vaccinated once or for the first dose, they are required to show a document of RT-PCR test results a maximum of 3 × 24 hours before departure.

Travelers with comorbidities who cannot vaccinate must show a doctor's certificate from a government hospital and RT-PCR test results for a maximum of 3 × 24 hours.
